11 Countries in 1 year & 7 months.

We have been fortunate to travel as much as we have for the past year and a half! Sometimes I will just sit down and think about all the places we have been and the amazing things we have seen, I have not written a post about all the countries we have been though! Well, now I will inform you of our fantastic adventures.

May 2012: In May 2012 Thomas and I set out for my very first trip!! I was SO beyond excited to finally start traveling the world! We flew down to Cancun, Mexico and started a tour with G Adventures called the Mayan Discovery. Our trip went like this, Cancun – Chichen Itza – Merida – Uxmal – Palenque – Bonampak – Flores, Guatemala – Tikal – San Ignacio, Belize – Caye Caulker and then back up into Mexico – Tulum – Playa Del Carmen. It was a truly fantastic tour and we had a group of really great people to make it even better! We saw SO many Mayan Ruin sites, 6 to be exact! We went through 3 beautiful countries and to many different towns, it really didn’t take me long to fall in love with Central America!

December 2012 – January 2013: I was in the middle of my Professional Cooks program while, during our winter break, we left for Egypt and Jordan! We did another tour with G Adventures called Egypt & Jordan Adventure. Our trip went like this Cairo – Aswan – Luxor – Sinai – Nuweiba – Aqaba, Jordan – Wadi Rum – Little Petra – Wadi Musa – Petra – Madaba – The Dead Sea – Jerash – Amman. There is so much to see in Egypt and Jordan; the Great Pyramids are breathtaking and mind-blowing, along with a lot of other locations. It’s definitely worth checking out if you get the chance!!

May – June 2013: Earlier this year we went to Costa Rica with G Adventures on a tour called Costa Rica Adventure. We went all around Costa Rica; this was our journey, San Jose – Puerto Viejo – Tortuguero – Sarapiqui – La Fortuna – Monteverde – Quepos – San Jose. This was 100% the best G Adventures tour I have been on!!! Loved it! You must go to Costa Rica and see everything there is to see and do all of the adrenaline activities!! MUST!! I have many, many blog posts about this trip; just take a look back a bit. :)

Oct 2013: We just went on this tour, from Antigua, Guatemala – Copan, Honduras – Roatan – Tegucigalpa – Leon, Nicaragua – Granada – Masaya – Ometepe Island – Monteverde, Costa Rica – Monteverde – San Jose.  I have a lot of recent blog posts about this trip; feel free to take a look! I blogged the whole time we were traveling. It was a great trip, definitely an adventure and a lot of travel!! Central America has so much to see, from different jungles to rain forests to cloud forests. Tons and tons of wildlife, the people are very nice, tons of volcanoes and the list goes on and on! Go see it for yourself! I swear it will not disappoint! :)

Wondering what the other 3 countries are?? Canada & the United States… also, some may call this cheating, some may not? I have been to Frankfurt’s airport in Germany. No, I did not leave the airport. ;P But! I do plan to visit Germany one day!
