Why I became a Travel Blogger…

Travel blogging does not always mean making tons of money, getting ‘free’ trips to locations around the world, ‘free’ accommodation or many others things you may think it means. I say ‘free’ because a fellow travel blogger, Kelly Ella Maz made a great point, “Nothing’s quite for ‘free'” It’s usually more so an exchange, not free. :)

That part takes hard work and commitment, but it is possible!

I became a travel blogger because I love to travel. As well, I wanted to be able to write down all of my experiences while traveling so people could see how truly amazing and life changing traveling is. I also wanted to have a place to write it all down to share with my friends and family so they could join in during my adventures!

The most rewarding thing for me so far is the community, the other travel bloggers out there. They are SO supportive!! This career choice is not about competition, it’s about sharing your memories, tips and almost anything you want to share. Almost every other travel blogger I have come by is willing to go out of their way to show you support and help you progress further!

I joined a group on Facebook yesterday called, “Under 1000 Club for Aspiring Travel Bloggers” It was created by Christine and Jules from the travel blog, Don’t Forget to Move. It is such a brilliant idea!! If you have a Facebook ‘like’ page for your travel blog and it has less than 1000 likes, you can join the group. It’s pretty much that simple; the others in the group are just like yourself and super supportive!! Life, Love and Adventure’s Facebook page passed 100 likes today! :)

If you have less than 1000 likes on your travel blog’s Facebook page I highly recommend checking out this group and joining in! :)

Show some love and support to other travel bloggers & receive the same in return!! <3

Travel

I love the comments I receive from other travelers about their adventures and experiences while traveling around the world, that alone is a huge pay off for all the hard work I put into my blog. I love travel writing because it gives me the chance to capture all of my memories while at the same time sharing them with the world!

What was your inspiration for becoming a travel blogger? :)

Great post! I have to agree I started travel blogging merely to put my adventures and experiences out there for people read and in the hopes to inspire people to travel whether local or afar.

Super interesting – I write about all kinds of things in my new home of Berlin but I’m looking into a career in travel journalism too – good luck with NaBloPoMo :)

You’re so, so right – the travel blogging community is ridiculously supportive! And it’s so great to have such a consistent source of travel inspiration out there.

Thank you so much for introducing us to the “Under 1000 Club For Aspiring Travel Bloggers”!!!
I’m really looking forward to being part of this community and making new connections. My first goal… 100 Like ~ I’ll get there.

Yay! I would also highly recommend, We Travel We Blog on Facebook. The page is not all about promoting your page but currently they have a self promoting Facebook page spot, I got tons of likes from there as well! Both pages are great communities! :) Both pages helped me pass that goal! I am now just over 160. :)

I wish I’d started my travel blog years ago. Still taking baby steps and learning with each step. I agree that travel bloggers are so welcoming and supportive. How did I not know this community existed before?! I’m taking your advice and signing up to the Under 1000 club and hope to read more great posts from you in the future :)

I’m the exact same! I wish I started my blog when I started traveling but oh well! I’m glad I started it all together, the community is amazing and so supportive, it’s truly wonderful. :) Excited to see you in the group! Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog! ^_^ <3
