Being an adventure traveler there’s one piece of equipment that I find essential; a good cellphone case! It’s almost a daily occurrence while traveling that I drop my phone. If it were to break it’s not only a lot of money to repair or replace but a complete loss of communication, as well, a lost connection to my work while abroad. I’m always looking to find the best products that will keep myself and my belongings safe while traveling.
Recently I teamed up with SaharaCase to put their IPhone 5S Blazing Sun Orange Case with Tempered Gorilla Glass to the test!
Upon unveiling of the case and its components I was a little hesitant because there were quite a few different parts and steps. As quick as I felt hesitant I felt relieved because there is a complete video tutorial to walk you through the installation.
SaharaCase Gorilla Glass Installation
Here’s the video, quick and painless installation, I promise:
As soon as I started watching the video I was actually thrilled to see that each step makes it so you have absolutely no dust or specks underneath your Gorilla Glass screen cover. If you’re like me, you CAN NOT stand those little dust particles creeping under your screen, or those horrid air bubbles.
I absolutely love the Gorilla Glass, it’s not one of those flimsy plastic screen covers you can buy, it’s real, tempered glass. It’s thick yet not too thick it rises above your screen noticeably.
If you’re not able to watch the video this picture tutorial will walk you through it:
The way phones are created nowadays it almost seems like they’re meant to break after the first drop… how can you prevent this?
By getting yourself a durable case that caters to the possibility that you may drop it at some point. What could make the case even better? A slim design and a lens hood to improve image quality!
I’m talking about my SaharaCase IPhone 5S Blazing Sun Orange Case.
The cases are made of hard plastic which is durable, shockproof and gives you complete control of your whole screen.
When I am purchasing a new phone case the most essential thing I look for is that it’s shockproof. The best part about SaharaCase is not only are they shockproof cases but they also come with Gorilla tempered glass which protects your screen from scratches and, if your phone is dropped, the tempered glass could break yet your screen underneath does not. I had no idea what tempered glass was like, I was pleasantly surprised!
The only thing I wish my SaharaCase had was protection over the bottom openings/ports (where you plug your phone in to charge). There’s times when I am abroad and the weather conditions are less than ideal… for example; while in Cairo, Egypt we experienced an insane sandstorm; I couldn’t keep the sand out of my eyes or mouth, let alone my phone!
Overall, my final verdict, it’s a really great case! I haven’t taken it off since the day I got it. There’s nothing better than a super sleek, shockproof case that allows your screen to be as responsive as possible! I love the tempered glass, it’s as if there’s nothing even on your screen yet you can breathe a sigh of relief that your screen is actually protected! The camera hood is a nice feature, I am constantly taking photos with my phone while abroad; having an improved image quality is certainly a bonus!
I went up for a flight to the Rocky Mountains and brought my SaharaCase along, here’s some of the amazing (and unedited) photos I captured just with my IPhone 5s in the case:
